The Light in Hidden Places by Sharon Cameron
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I love a good historical fiction book and if it’s based on a true story that’s even better. I have no clue how this story is not more well known. It really needs to be shared more because it is an amazing story.

What I liked: that it is based on a true story. That it also has a happy ending. I enjoyed the flow and descriptions of the setting. I liked learning about a different part of Poland, usually most books are set in the bigger cities of Poland.

What I didn’t like: I would have liked to have known how Lubik reacted if/when he found out what Fusia was doing. Would he have approved, since he called her such bad names for pretending to date an SS solider? I also wish it hadn’t ended so abruptly, but I appreciated the historical notes at the end of the book.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story and would like to learn more about Stefania and Helena Podgórska.
